“Thresholds of Memory”

This work by Jefferey Cornett, is a large format mixed media piece from The Orange & Black Collection, © 2026, carries the feeling of a coded emotional landscape, three vertical forms standing like weathered monuments, doors, or figures against a field of radiant orange energy. The composition is deceptively minimal, but emotionally layered. It suggests endurance, fragmentation, identity, and communication without ever becoming literal.

Collectors and viewers are likely to see different figures emerge over time:

Right Panel: The strongest facial profile appears here — a dark silhouette facing inward toward the center. It resembles a contemplative human profile emerging from shadow, suggesting observation, restraint, or witness.

Center Panel:
The middle form carries the feeling of a standing figure or ghosted torso. The rough white texture creates the impression of a weathered human presence suspended between revelation and disappearance.

Left Panel: This panel feels almost archaeological — layered markings resembling fragmented faces, stacked masks, or encoded expressions partially buried beneath paint and texture.
